Kieran Thomas Conry was born in 1951 in Coventry, England to Irish parents from Roscommon and Sligo. He attended the Gregorian University in Rome, and was ordained at the age of 25.
After spending time as secretary to the Apostolic Delegate from Rome to England, as a Parish Priest in Birmingham Archdiocese, and Vice-Chairman of the National Conference of Priests, Bishop Conry became Director of the Catholic Media Office, in London in 1993.
This title covered the press office of the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, as well as being editor of Briefing, the Bishops' official journal. Kieran Conry was ordained fourth Bishop of Arundel and Brighton in June 2001 and has remained committed to youth ministry.
He currently holds the position of liasion Bishop for youth ministry in England and Wales. He has also led catechesis at World Youth Days in Sydney and Madrid.
