Dr Jack Finnegan, a Salesian priest, is a lecturer at All Hallows College and associate professor at Milltown Institute, Dublin.
He was educated in St Patrick’s College Maynooth and the Salesian University in Rome.

Rev Dr Jack will present with Sr Eibhlis Nic Uaithneas, Mr Greg Heylin, Father Paddy Carberry SJ and Ms Carmel Boyle and Sr Una Agnew SSL.Spiritual direction is sought more and more often since questions persist regarding the meaning of life and what is takes to live authentically as a Christian today. Spiritual guidance often helps in instances of spiritual bewilderment. All Ireland Spiritual Guidance Association (AISGA) serves as an umbrella accrediting organisation for all traditions of spiritual accompaniment. Its members meet twice yearly for the purpose of up-skilling and renewal.
During this panel discussion, aspects of the training needed to become a spiritual guide will be discussed as well as information on how spiritual accompaniment is being practised in Ireland today. Questions will be invited on any part of the input and the panel will provide information about how to avail of direction and how to become a trained spiritual guide today.
