Sister Consilio founded the first Cuan Mhuire in 1966. Cuan Mhuire provides a residential detoxification and rehabilitation programme, and other support services, to individuals and families impacted by addictions and their consequences including homelessness.
Cuan Mhuire now has centres in Athy, County Kildare, Bruree, County Limerick, Newry, County Down, Coolarne, County Galway and Farnanes, County Cork as well as Transition Houses throughout the country and a House of Studies in Athy for Counselling.
